Treehouse Movie Reviews

A film snob in denial.

I’ve been reading my grandma’s old letters, and one of them is about seeing ‘Lady From Shanghai’ with Orson Welles and Rita Hayworth

I don’t know if she was into movies that much, but it’s still interesting. She saw it when she was visiting her grandma after her high school graduation in 1948.

It’s hard to even imagine that time, or a period in history when Welles’s career wasn’t completely in the toilet. It’s even harder to connect people I know now with historical events.
